Queens Wharf lies at the foot of the Auckland CBD and offers a unique vantage point overlooking the sparkling Waitemata Harbour. Home to two of Auckland’s signature buildings, Shed 10 and The Cloud, Queens Wharf has been transformed from a private working wharf to a public waterfront space for all to enjoy.

Shed 10

Shed 10 is a historic cargo shed on Queens Wharf. Built in 1910 it is the only original building left on the wharf. The Shed is currently undergoing a refurbishment for use as an events space and as Auckland's primary cruise terminal.

The Cloud

The Cloud, designed by Jasmax sits on the western edge of Queens Wharf. It was erected to accommodate Auckland’s commitment to host an innercity Fanzone, festival and showcase event during Rugby World Cup 2011.

The History

Queens Wharf is integrally linked with the early history and development of Auckland city. Completed in 1913 the wharf played an important role in the transport corridors that connected the city with both local and international ports – being the hub through which goods were exported and imported and people arrived and departed.
